Sumita Sarkar of Class 9 participated in Thinkquest International Website 2009 in the project 'Flying Jewels' coached by Ashok Sengupta and Harminder Suri, and is nominated as Honorary mention. She would receive a Laptop worth 750 USD as prize from Oracle Education foundation US.
Life on the Strings, a thinkquest website submitted for thinkquest International 2009 was nominated to the thinkquest library 2009. The team comprised of Ms.Anurekha Deb, Miss Arjal Jyoti of Class IX K.V.NFR maligaon alongwith students from K.V. Malleswaram and ICS Palombara Sabina, Rome Italy. The team was coached by Ms.Zeenat F Rashid and Mr Anutosh Deb.
'Fiesta Indo-Italiana' an entry to the ThinkQuest International Narrative Competition 2009 collaborated by Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon, Guwahati and ICS Palombara Sabina has been adjudged as 'FINALIST' and is in the Think Quest Library. THINKQUEST ACTIVITIES: 2010-2011
Two teams participated in the ThinkQuest collaborative projects: 'World is ours We are one'. The teams comprising of BANASHREE Baruah, Nihar Bharadwaj, IPSHITA Biswas, DEBAYAN, Amit Debnath, ARJAL Jyoti and MUNMUN Roy under Mr Anutosh Deb, TGT(A.E.) as coach collaborated with a team from Kendriya Vidyalaya No2 AFS Pune under Mrs.Prafullata Lagade, PRT,
for the Project: WORLD IS OURS, WE ARE ONE: Only Education can lead us from darkness to light...! In another collaborative project WORLD IS OURS, WE ARE ONE: Voice of Teens,
DEEPPRATIM, DEBABRATA Das ANUREKHA Deb SAYAN Roy Choudhury, DEEPITA Roy, NABANITA and SHANWAVI Sharma under Mrs Zeenat Fatima Rashid, PRT as coach collaborated with a team from Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Jodhpur under Mrs Ratna Pathak TGT (English) as the coach .
Certificates were awarded to the participants by Oracle Education Foundation US and was given to the teams by Mr R.N.Pandey, Principal K.V.NFR Maligaon, on 25 October 2010 during the morning assembly.
PLI KVS INDIA 2010:
The 2nd Project Learning Institute was held at KVS ZIET MYSORE from 7-10 October 2010. 06 Teachers and 1 Principal from KVS Guwahati Region was nominated to participate in the Virtual & In-Class program conducted by Oracle Education Foundation USA in collaboration with KVS HQ. 119 participants attended the program.
